Hi. I need your advice.
Ive got small collection of seedlings.
They tend to roll up their leafs.
Some of them have such a rolled up leaves for a long time
I water them every second day by spraying.
I sprayed them with fugicide also and it didnt help.
It's hard for me to judge if they are wet or dry. The land from the top is usally dry. I'm afraid of checking deeper so as not to damage the roots. Anyway when i water them, they are still rolled. I am not sure but rather they grows quite slowly. Do you have any suggestions? They are situated outside at east balcony. The sun is operating here to 11am.
They soil is 30%perlite,50%peat,10% sand, 10% compost

I see some yellow & died leaves as well. I think the problem is with the use of manure at this point. ... Too soon & too strong.
questions: How old are these plantlets? Is this the first time the plantlets were place in soil? ... What is/was the growing procedure/stage for these plants?
OK, I see you said these were seedlings, so I assume these are not TCs but seed sprouted plants. They need to develop their roots & corm, so no manure but use foliar feeding to more easily control the amount of fetilizer and not damage the roots.

I see you have another thread about stimulators and growing hormones. Have any of those been applied to these plants?

Thanks for the reply guys and your advices.
Yes, they are freshly sprouted plants from the seeds.
No boosters used here

Have you ever grown garlic or onion from seed? Starting ornamental bananas from seed is about the same.
I'm also hoping you know that edible bananas are not grown from seed.

Are they Thai Black by any chance? That happens a lot with my Thai Black seedlings usually when they are stressed in some way - could be an issue with the roots. If you lift them and see if they are dry or if you have transplanted them recently. They usually recover quickly.
Richard - Onion sets I start outside so too with garlic, I wouldn't do that with banana seeds. So how is it the same? We don't all live in California. Do edible bananas even produce seeds?

When I start onion and garlic from seed, I do it indoors then place the starts outdoors in warmer weather.
You are correct -- under normal circumstances edible bananas do not produce seed.
