Hi Everyone!

Looking for some advice. Can you confirm if this is a flower?? It's my Raja Puri, that has been growing since December 2016.

I transplanted it into the ground April 2018, from a 10 gallon tub at about 6 feet high. It shot up to about 8ft and then put out 3 tiny leaves and now this. This would be my first flower so that's why I am a little unsure.

Chilly weather kicks in here early November. What are my chances for getting fruit in time?

Just to give a bit of reference, the one that has put out the flower is the one on the left in this photo. It was kept in this tub since March 2017, over-wintered in the shed you can see in the background under UV light and consistent warm temperature (had to keep cutting off the leaves though because it was way too big for the shed). Was put into the ground April 2018, with very little hope that it would survive from the scalping i gave it in the shed. Delighted that it has flowered! httphttp://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?file=61925&size=1 (http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=61925)

I bet you are pumped!

I bought a raja puri and knowing that they fruit from about 6' - 8' have been watching it closely since about 5 1/2' for a flower. The plant is now around 10' and I'm about to lose it. I guess the jokes on me. Haha.

Meizzwang has had great success from your area. Maybe he will stop by and give you some tips or you can send him a private message.

I think you have a great chance at getting bananas. You still have 4 solid months of growth.
Congrats!
