Hi.
I'm a new member living in Tallahassee, Fl. (8b). I am growing several types of bananas here, and I'm anxious to learn and share with this banana community.
Currently growing goldfinger, praying hands, Thai black, Iholena, Cavendish, 1000 fingers, red, Siam Ruby, namwah, golden lotus, and maurelli, along with some unidentified varieties.
This is my first year with a few of them, so I'm always looking for advice.
Thanks,
Kimberly

Welcome to the forum! I moved to Tallahassee last year and put a few bananas in the ground. The cold with the snow drift we received killed them all to the root, but they're all coming back up. Besides the cold, I am not a fan of the clay soil... What has been your experience with growing in Tally and what do you do to amend your soil?

I am bringing bananas up from my place down in the Tampa area, so if you are interested in trading let me know.
