Hello all! My name is Crystal. I’ve never done one of these introduction things cuz I felt a bit awkward doing them but I was told to make a post so here I am 😊. We live in Lehigh Acres in SW Florida. I’m somewhat new to banana plants. My last house had lots of well established bananas that lined our backyard but other than the occasional clean up on the dried up leaves, we really didn’t bother with them and they didn’t produce a whole lot. The ones they did produce were small, green and fat and were pretty starchy tasting. I’m pretty sure they were the Orinoco variety. My fiancé has been wanting the “classic” Gro Michel bananas so we bought some back in March which brings me to my recent post in the identification section. 😉

Hi Crystal,
No need to feel awkward here. We were all new to this banana growing at one time. Enjoy your time here, ask questions, and in no time you will feel lik a seasoned banana farmer. Welcome to the forum!
