My Gros Michel of 2 years and my Blue Java of a little under one year have been both outside and inside. Last Sunday, after them being inside away from the harshness of the Ohio Winters, I finally got them out of the house and took them outside. Last year, before bringing them in, I transferred them to a Root pouch and they've been doing quite well in them. About 2 months ago, learning from past mistakes, I put a box fan on them to hearty them up for th winds and that seems to solve the problem I had last year.
When I took them out, I fertilized and watered them, and made sure they had sun. That was all. Temps at night have not gotten below 58 degrees and that was only one night. Been at least in the 60's every other night, usually more. Up until Thursday, I was incredibly happy, because both grew almost instantly. The Gros Michel, which had grown to my chest in the winter, was not a bit taller than me. And the Blue Java, which had only 3 leaves all winter, immediately began growing more.
Yesterday, I noticed the leaves were curling, lilting, and discoloring. I made sure to water them more. Today, I noticed not only is the lilting remaining, but the leaves are looking a bit pale.
Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?
