Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone knows what's wrong with my dwarf musa cavendish. I brought it inside for the winter and was watering it about once a month. Some of the leaves shriveled up and died but it was still getting new growth so I assumed it was because inside during the winter isn't a favorable condition. I then made the mistake of taking outside on a sunny 86 degree day and it's looking worse. I think it has a fungus. Any suggestions?

Thank you!!

(P.S. -- I have pictures in "My Gallery" dated May, 2018. I can't seem to upload them into this post. If you wouldn't mind looking at the pictures in "My Gallery" I would be most appreciative. Thank you :nanadrink:

Hello Beam2050,

The first three are recent pictures. It looked liked that before I put it outside so, it's not burnt. I think is has a fungus as I have a feeling watering it once a month over the winter was to much. I was searching online, trying to figure out what kind of fungus so I know how to treat it but, I can't figure it out. What I think I am going to do is cut off all the dead, get new soil and re-pot it. I think it needs a little bigger pot anyway.

I'll let you know how I make out. Thank you for responding to my post :goteam:

You need pots that drain water out. And don't plant the corm so deep.

Thanks edwmax,

Ok, I'll keep that in mind when I choose a new pot. I was also considering using Miracle-Gro Moisture Control soil. Has anyone tried that soil? Did you have luck with it or not so much?

Thanks,
