I have two banana tree plants planted beside my pool,I thought that they liked full sun but they get droopy half way through the day. Is that normal?

Banana plants get droopy (leaves fold down) when they need water.

... They also get droopy when the temps are in the upper 80s to upper 90s and they need additional water & misting for cooling. Banana plants will transpire a large amount of water for cooling and can delete the soil water.

.... They also get droopy when the temperature are very high (upper 90s & over 100) regardless of water. This is self preservation and the plant shuts down to preserve internal water.

So my question is: How close is the concrete around the pool? Radiant heat from the concrete may be the cause of you problem.

Its a above ground pool so there isn't any concrete. It has been in the high 80s here too. The soil feels moist.
