I recently bought a little 4 inch banana plant online, it came in looking pretty good and healthy. But now it's looking questionable. I'm worried it wasn't ever outdoors and is now suffering sunburn from me putting it outside. Is there a way I can get it to recover? The leaves are looking brown at the tips. is it too late to save it? Also, when would it be a good idea to plant the little nana in the ground outside? I'm afraid to do it right now because it's not looking too good and I don't want to kill it. :(

Helpful tips would be great~ :2738:

I'm not sure how to add pics via this site yet. Sorry.

They get sunburn just like we do. you have to let them gradually adjust to full sun. new leaves should be able to take it unless it was too small. pics always help

Where did you buy it? A 4" banana plant is likely a TC plantlet. It was in a greenhouse under mist when it was sent to you. ... If you set it out in the sun, it is sun burned now. It might recover if bought inside.

I bought it from Amazon from 9GreenBox. And that's what I'm thinking. How would you casually introduce it to more sun over time so it doesn't get burnt? It's really hot here.
