Hi, I'm new here :)
I planted an in-ground banana plant when I lived in SoCal, but ended up moving to Utah before it could fruit. I tried a potted banana a few years ago and managed to kill it.
I want to try again. I'm looking for recommendations for a couple of nicely flavored varieties that can be grown in a pot, and where to order them. When indoors I can keep them in my living room with South West facing windows and a twelve foot ceiling.
I'll keep them outdoors in the summer--advice on keeping them in pots the whole time or planting in ground when outdoors is also welcome.
I'm in zone 6b/7a, low humidity unfortunately (well, unfortunate only for banana growing, I hate humid heat myself!)
I'm excited to have found this forum :03:
