Hello-
As a frequent traveler to the Caribbean and Florida- and as an avid gardener since the age of 8... I have been slowly transforming our property into a little tropical oasis. Living in Zone 7a, there are limits to what we can successfully grow year round, but it seems every year we discover new possibilities. I admit to living in a state of zone denial. What I know cannot survive outdoors here year round, I annually bring in to our heated cellar and with the mild temperature, humidity and high-output commercial grow lights-- we manage to sustain an ever growing menagerie of wonderful plants. I'm hoping to tap into the wealth of knowledge here on this forum in order to expand the diversity of tropical/sub-tropical and tropical-looking plants we are able to grow.
