Hi all , I got a Musa 'Darjeeling Giant' from Plant Delights Nursery a couple of months ago, it's doing very well and I'm happy with it.
My question is if it's a seed grown Musa should it be pupping already?
On PDN site they say they are seed grown, I don't care if it's a selected TC clone but I was wondering why it's pupping so soon. I may have stressed it but I don't think so, it's been in the Greenhouse and then potted up a to a five gallon pot and been outside for about two weeks. It has two nice pups coming up at the moment, which is fine as long as it does not affect the growth rate of the main plant too much.

Got one from Kyle last week and it's already got a pup and he grew it from seed. I usually see this in TC plants. ????

All of mine pupped at 3.5' - 4 ' from seed.

Nate, that one seed came up with two sprouts(one was dominant) so it's more of a double than a pupping one.
The one I grew last year didn't pup and was about 7 foot tall. I wonder whats going on with yours guys Dajs?

Does early pupping indicate dwarfism?
