I live in coastal n.c. lately we have been having torrid weather and no rain. My musa Maurelli was planted in full sun. The leaves look like they have been burnt in a fire. Yes, I do water it, but I am afraid watering too much will hurt it as well. Shall I dig it up and plant it in a container or another spot with partial sun?
I bought the plant not long ago and just transplanted it.
I appreciate your comments. thank you.

Why don't you run to goodwill, etc and get an old sheer curtain and a few sticks and rig up some temp shade for it? If you've just moved it to that location a little temp shade would probably do it good, and if it wasn't hardened off first after taking from a greenhouse, like one you've received in the mail, then those leaves will probably burn off and new ones will grow that are used to being outdoors anyway....
It's just like putting a houseplant from the house out into full sun, how the leaves will scorch. It's best to acclimate them to being outdoors in a shaded place protected from wind for a week, and then plant them in their final location, a process known as "hardening off".

I've had the same weather, my Maurelli are planted in reaised beds and I water them for 15 minutes everyday, no signs of damage. How much are you watering yours?
