Hello Dear Friends,
A friend of mine has Purchased an AeAe pup,
He kept it indoors during winter time and it seemed to be
fine, it pushed 2 new leaves during the winter, Then when
it started to get warmer he took it out, Placed in a pot and
in a semi shaded area but it got a decent amount of sun,
after a few days It started to get Sun Burns, and older leafs
started to die since its sun exposure wasn't step by step...
he also transplanted it and placed it in a pot twice as big as it
was in before, and the root system was very small when the
transplantion took place, he also did another mistake as far
as i'm concerned, he soaked the plant while transplanting,
It did not "Helped" the plant, it got one stress after another,
root trauma and over watering. Now it's almost 3 weeks after
it had the trauma and it was placed in a shaded area to recover
the plant haven't show no progress since then, its not "Pushing"
new leafs, it haven't even finished to "Push" its last leaf,
the pseudo stem is still "Hard" and not showing signs of rot or
anything, from my personal experiance with bananas when
they are in really bad condition the pseudostem become over soked
and when you touch it , It feels like a sponge, but this is not the
case with the AeAe stem, Its still hard when touched, I will add
a few pics, I need a good advice what my friend needs
do to make it recover ? is it on its way to bite the dust ....or
if the trauma it went through will make it break open and
"Restart" itself with a new pup - from its current pesudostem ?
