Imagine that you were arrested, convicted and punished of breaking a law that doesn't exist. Does that even happen in Russia?

There is no rule against "graphic images." For your convenience,

If you do a word search of "graphic", you will see that the word does not appear on those webpages.

You are giving away your age...
I was part of a group on FB that shared recipes and mostly pics of food and they were so irrational in how they did things that people got the 24 hour boot for saying they didn't like something... Not in any kind of rude way, just saying it... Someone would cry to the mods they were offended and off you would go. I unsubbed in about 2 weeks... to sappy for me.

Unlike your website, AARP is a political lobbying group with over a billion dollars of annual income. It's immorality influences the U.S. government.
My age is in my banana.org profile and any young whippersnapper can join the AARP forums for free. It's, maybe, 90% liberals and 10% conservatives. The liberals have a fascinating way of ganging up on conservatives. If you are a conservative and a glutton for punishment, join the AARP Political Forum.

They like to use shame, emotion and peer pressure on you. Those things have little effect on me, I like facts... I hate the way they do it. I see right thru their propaganda. Not that the other side is any better, just different. Find me an honest politician and I will find you santa claus.

The media bias chart was the biggest piece of liberal comedy I've seen recently!
The Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC offer "fair interpretations of the news"!
ROTFLMAO!

Darkman... You just need to shift it all left a notch and down a couple... There is no honest, unbiased reporting, anywhere. Never has been.

I notice that MediaBiasChart.com rates "MediaBiasChart.com" in the middle grey circle . So, is MediaBiasChart.com fake news?
I submit that the people behind MediaBiasChart.com do not have the intellectual capacity to detect fake news. They rate NBC (broadcast) near the middle top. I have often heard NBC reporters refer to Trump as "racist" which is a very ambiguous catchphrase used by the left. "Racist" is extra ambiguous because "race" is ambiguous.
rac·ist
noun
1.
A. a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races.
B. a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
adjective
noun: racist; plural noun: racists; adjective: racist
1.
A. showing or feeling discrimination or prejudice against people of other races.
B. believing that a particular race is superior to another.
Definition of race
1 : a breeding stock of animals
2 a : a family, tribe, people, or nation belonging to the same stock
b : a class or kind of people unified by shared interests, habits, or characteristics
3 a : an actually or potentially interbreeding group within a species; also : a taxonomic category (such as a subspecies) representing such a group
b : breed
c : a category of humankind that shares certain distinctive physical traits
4 obsolete : inherited temperament or disposition
5 : distinctive flavor, taste, or strength
NBC not only pretends to know what was on Trump's mind when he said, "s-hole countries" but, also pretends that the audience's interpretation of race coincides with Trump's, which may or not be 2. a., 2. b., 3. a., 3. b., or 3. c.. And, NBC pretends that their interpretation of racism, 1. A. or 1. B., is the same as the audience's. That constitutes very bad journalism.

Look at the Key. CNN is in the orange box where it belongs.

Hi Richard as I looked at the box it looked 75% in the yellow box and only 25% in the orange! IMHO no part of it belonged anywhere near the yellow box.

I'll confess that I don't own a TV and so my experience with network news is literally only passing ... as in passing through a hotel lobby.
My main news source is Reuters -- https://www.reuters.com -- pretty much unembellished reporting. For science I'll look at Phys.org -- although one needs be wary of sources that appear. Beyond that I'm far more interested in what's happening outdoors.

Richard to not watch the news is not a bad thing altogether. Most all the media is driven by sensationalism and they really don't do much investigative journalism any more.
What's going on in your yard is far more educational than the drival you are likely to encounter on the nightly news.
I still want to make out your way to see your place. It's on my bucket list!

I can't stand all the hype, extreme bias and contrived emotional heartstring tugging on video news... I prefer to read my news online. Doesn't matter much where as cutting thru the bs is much easier in print, at least for me. Ads disguised as news annoys the heck out of me, and are happening all over these days. (Example... "Scientists make breakthru discovery in cancer research = retired labrat writes book on his opinion of what may cure cancer to create nest egg...Don't even get me started on all the hack "scientists" out there today finding "new evidence" to support their funding's latest whim.)
Sorry... Rant over. I could go on much more and on many tangents on the lack of integrity or worse, outright and shameless corruption in the system we live in. But I will spare you.

I try to avoid getting upset with liberal BS. And the news in all forms is BS.
Let Banana's be free of this BS.
Sorry, this is not the place to be political.

No, it's about, "anything else you would like to chat about." "All other posts go here. Banana jokes, travel stories, anything else you would like to chat about."
This is common for many websites, e.g., see GardenWeb:
Hot Topics - GardenWeb (http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/hottopics)
I don't recall anyone complaining that the forum wasn't about gardening, although I complained that some Hot Topic posters never posted in other GardenWeb forums, thereby showing an interest in gardening. By my logic, it would be wrong for someone with no interest in bananas to post here about non-bananas.

Right, Right! We are in the Tiki Hut and any DECENT conversation is allowed. I won't let political differences to bias my opinion of you as a person. Many people coming from diverse backgrounds should not be expected to all walk in lockstep with one another. It would be a boring place if we were all mental clones!

... And the news in all forms is BS. ...
In college, one of my house mates majored in Radio-TV ... and went on to become director of programming for the NFL network.
But back in the day he came into my room and said "hey get a load of this!" showing me the opening paragraph of his text for Radio-TV business administration. It stated:
The business model for commercial media is to create stress in the consumer so they find relief in the advertisements.
That's when I stopped watching/listening to "news" programs.

It's why I don't watch it now and haven't for years... If you keep in mind they are in this to make money first and deliver news second, it's pretty easy to see through their manipulations... At least it is for me.
My wife will watch the news and be all wound up about something until I explain what they are really doing and what really happened... Sometimes she gets it and other times she laughs at me like I am crazy... She cannot believe they would go so far to make a buck as they actually will...

The latest AARP fake news:
http://www.general-cathexis.com/images/AarpBan2.png
The funny thing is that I have no memory of saying,
"Might have been me. Someone turned me in for something, anyway. They'll probably ban me again because TOS says we aren't allowed to discuss TOS (how very totalitarian of them). I don't see a need to discuss it either: it's obviously in violation of the First Amendment. And while it's true that since this is not a government organization it need not abide by the First Amendment, it's still an unAmerican way to go about things. Oh, well. Signing off again for being a bad boy."
It might have been something I said more than 5 years ago, except, "Oh, well. Signing off again for being a bad boy." is not something that I can imagine ever saying. It's not my style. Also, "And while it's true that since this is not a government organization it need not abide by the First Amendment," lacks three commas that I would have used. Google has some cached deleted posts but no record of this.
