I wouldn't know about that specimen, but, as a former landscaper and garden center manager, it helps to know what your USDA Plant Hardiness Zone is and any micro-climate data you might have (winter temps, wind, freezing rain, etc.). reference: USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map (http://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/PHZMWeb/)

Looking Orinoco to me, I don't think too many are winter hardy in your zone.

Looks like I am in zone 6b. I need to come up with some kind of portable greenhouse that's heated. I hate to cut them down and really have no place inside to keep them as they are.

Looks like mush basjoo to me. They don't produce edible bananas. If that is what it is, you can leave outside. It will die to the ground but will come back next year.

cant say for sure but defiantly dosent appear to be basjoo or Sikkimese the only two that might be root hardy in your area
nice plants though

If those don't turn out to be fruiting or edible bananas, use them to improve your soil, chop & drop... trunks can be transformed into planters that don't require much watering as they decompose over time. Go permaculture soil building.

For sure not a Basjoo.
Looks Namwah-ish to me.

Don't know what it is, but it's not Namwah. Midribs are green.
