GENERAL

NuAire Vertical Flow Hoods are engineered to provide the ideal particle-free, bacteria-free clean-air environment needed for laboratory work, testing, manufacturing, inspection, or pharmaceutical procedures. Exclusive design innovations provide exceptional performance in the most demanding environments.

All NuAire, Biological Safety Cabinets (BSC's) are Class II, Type A2. When exhausted outside

through a properly functioning canopy, thimble or air gap exhaust transition, the cabinets may be

used for work with minute quantities of volatile toxic chemicals and tracer amounts of

radionuclides required as an adjustment to microbiological studies. This is possible, since the

cabinet conforms to the following requirements:

1. Maintains a minimum average inflow velocity of 100 LFPM (.51mls) through the

work access opening.

2. Has HEPA filtered downflow air that is mixed with the inflow air from a

common exhaust plenum.

3. Exhaust airflow can either be room re-circulated or exchanged outside using a

Canopy Exhaust Transition.

4. Has all biologically contaminated ducts and plenums under negative

pressure or surrounded by negative pressure.

Thanks for the explanation. ... I was looking for where to put in charcoal and how to regulate the smoke to make BBQ. ... I certainly saw there was no dispenser for the ice-cream cones.

Funny...I had thought about trying to make one but it never crossed my mind to BUY one! If I had ever gotten around to building one I bet it would have cost twice as much and worked half as well.

probably would have to go near 25 ft. with his height. unless he has a couple of gorillas on that deck.

a good operator on that skid steer, take the railing off. and a couple of good backs might do it. coarse that may not be the safe way to do it. coarse a fair sized tractor with a bucket on the front would get it higher. I would imagine a person with a access to a skid steer might could have access to a large tractor.

Set the gin pole on the deck. Then I think a 12 or 14 ft 4x4 can then hoist over the railing. The T-section on the bottom of the gin pole (above link) spreads the load over the deck & joist.

I was thinking from the ground. that would work with the proper bracing.... believe I would run a line from the top of the gin pole to the peak of the roof of the house.

just 12 and theirs a 36 in gate in the rail for an Ariel walkway that hasn't been installed yet
still kinda scary though hate to drop it not sure if the skid steer will go high enough or not if not I will go as high as the skidsteer will lift and then finish with a gin pole and as many gorillas as I can round up

Set the gin pole back from the rail with enough room for the hood to set down between the rail and pole. Tie the top of the gin pole to the rail corners at the house (2 lines); then tie the bottom of the pole to the rail in front at the deck (to keep the bottom from skidding). Lean the pole so the top block is over & above the railing (not out past the railing). Lift the hood with a rope to pull the hood out from the railing. When above, let the hood swing in; then use two 2x4s leaning against the rail & deck as a skid to lower the hood to the deck AND on to furniture dolly(s). Two people should be able to do this easily.

But if you have access to a lift truck or 4 big dumb kids with strong backs (local high school line backers), then it should also be no problem. Just sit back drink beer and watch em work.

I've been needing a lift pole around the barn & property. So in the next week or so I'll be building a similar gin pole with a 4x4x 12ft to lift loads (1000lbs +) of my trailer.

when I saw the skid steer I figured you already had it figured out.
just get some soil out of the hill side and make you a ramp. about 3 ft should do it. the skid steer should go up about 8 ft. by itself. or start back about 20 ft. and push you up a ramp. straps will hold it to the bucket till you get it up. then put your soil back with a little grass seed. wouldn't take 15 minutes here in fl. but yalls clay up there I don't know.
