Ok. Sadly, it is time to begin thinking about bringing in my two banana tree children in for the pending cold Ohio winters.

Last year, I bought a metal hydrate light that did a rather excellent job of providing light and I put the tree in a bathroom all season, where it was quite warm.

This year, I was kind of hoping there would be a way to keep them in a spot in my garage instead, so I do not have to sacrifice the bathroom this year.

I can easily move the grow light out there. However, the garage is not winterized. I would need to find a way to get that portion of the garage heated up from the ambient temperature of about 30 degrees F up to 70 for a long period of time.

Without spending much, much money to basically remodel my garage, could someone recommend a way in which I can inexpensively and SAFELY cordon off a small portion of the garage and heat it for the trees? Is this something that is possible?

Thanks in advance.

:08::08: That's something I would say! You are a true nanner head!!! Yay! That's how it started for me and now I have about 300 plants!! Not counting pups!! Lol.

On your problem! I was thinking about something like a little mini greenhouse type structure (just large enough for the 2 plants) then a SAFE heat lamp/heater! Be SAFE! Don't risk burning the house down! Hopefully someone has a better idea than me!

I use the light heat lamps but I know they make a solid one for reptiles, etc that may be safer! Good luck!!

My outdoor grow season is coming to a halt soon also :(

Well, some options are out there..

I have seen Youtube videos with some creative ways to grow in your garage, you might want to check those out . Keywords grow plants/cannibis in garage without mom or dad knowing.;)

Investigate DYI growtents (https://ledgrowlightsexpert.com/best-grow-tents-reviews-grow-tent-kit/)
This is a fantastic way to have a controlled somewhat heated environment.

If you decide a tent route plan ahead for larger plants next year.
