I recently got a pup of Pisang Ceylon 1 meter tall that got bruised in the shipment.
I removed all the damaged parts but every few days new brown parts keep popping up and now I am left with a pup that is half the size in thickness.
I think it is stabilizing but I noticed two things worrying me.
1-The leaf inside is turning brown. Will it come out anyway?
I tried to open the outer layer to see if it was green below but seem all the same.

2-Last time I tried to leave the brown outer layer hoping it would stop, but it turned black so I removed it. Now there is a small black spot left, am I forced to remove another layer?! I think this is either the last one or next to last.

Some of this can be normal at first. Depending on how it is being cared for. I have 18 right now going through different stages of this. 3 of them I just cut back to the corm. I found out last year trying too hard kills them. They normally just grow out exposing fresh tissue may just sunburn it

So I just leave it like this?
Anyway it seem to be stabilizing now, so I'll probably wait and see.

If it's not in the core just leave it. The more you do in the future the better you can get a good sense.
