I was wondering because I plant mine about 6-8 feet apart but I'd like to go closer to fit more naners in my naner beds if people are having the same success with them closer together.

Actually, I plant my 'Nanas same space as you, between each other, 6 to 8 ft apart!.....Yes, you might try it!...But I think, it depends on the 'Nana varieties that you are planting!.....
For the big, monster growers as the Beautiful, Royal, Majestic 'Ae Ae' and French Red, I would give them at least 6 ft apart!....

*****Season Continuation!*****
What!......TV Nana show season finally?......Woohoo!......I would say TV Nana show season continuation, chapter 2 it's coming!......LOL!.....:ha:
I lost 9 hanging Nana bunches last year, including AEAE (Manini) and French Red in those 9, because of monster hurricane Irma!......They were very good size bunches!....
But I got a very good news!.....The Beautiful, Royal And Majestic AEAE and French Red second crop are growing nicely!.....They are growing faster than the first crop!.....If they keep the growing rate/pace, they should be flowering, blooming this season, year!.....I won't post any further pictures until flowering, blooming and harvesting time comes!.....
All pictures from 06/09/2018.....My apologies for the pictures, but has been raining banana nectar all day!.....
