I have 4 banana trees that I raise outside on my screened in porch. They love it out there. Very humid this time of year in Eastern North Carolina. I'm worried about only 1. Can't figure what's wrong with her. Her new leaf is coming up paper thin in the middle. Has unrolled yet but is brown. Can anyone give me a idea what's wrong?:waving:

Welcome to the banana nut club. I am sure someone can help but a picture would help us do that. Make sure it's not too big of a file, around 1-1.5 Mb in size.

Not sure. Didn't have a name on it. Dark green leave with red vain. The guy I bought it from said red banana. How knows

Yeah, that's the problem with common names. Latin names will always be 100% spot on for identification.

Post some pics if you can, and let us help you ID this plant, okay?

Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me into this great banana site. With a name like Sweetcheeks, who could resist, LOL?

In all seriousness, this is a great place to learn about not only bananas, but other plants as well. Many members love bananas but have specialties in other plants. That makes this a treasure trove of info, regarding a myriad of plant species.
