Immediately upon getting my 'Truly Tiny' banana 2 weeks ago, I transplanted it into a bigger pot (maybe 2 inch increase in diameter and 3-4 inch increase in height). I just put some dirt I had laying around, which was mostly sand, and 1-2 handfuls of a 7-6-5 +5% Ca pelletized fertilizer.

Since I've been doing yard work all day, I figured I would transplant it again. I noticed yesterday that the roots were coming out of the bottom of the pot, so it needed to be done anyways. When I went to repot it, the root system filled out half of the space, and the rest was just dirt. I figured it wouldn't hurt to pot it up anyways.

I put it in a 12" diameter, 10" height pot this time. Instead of using the sand, I used some bagged soil I had laying around from the beginning of gardening season. The soil is a mix of composted cow manure, poultry compost, worm castings, spam peat, coconut coir, paramagnetic rock, HiCal Lime, Gypsum, Vermiculite, & Perlite. I also mixed in from Greensand to boost the potash level, and I added 2-3 handfuls of that 7-6-5 +5% Ca pelletized fertilizer again. Since bananas are heavy feeders, I wanted to make sure it was well-fertilized.

We've had some good weather too, so this little guy has been growing like crazy!
