Hi everybody,

I have to buy some varieties of Musa, I would be suggested regarding some varieties, their taste and if is possible to grow in Italy, in Sicily.


- Plantain African rhino
- pisang raja (which are other names?)
- pisang susu
- pisang ambon
- pisang ampriang
- pisang papan
- pisang silin
- kluai khai = pisang mas
- namwa dam
- theparod
- red iholene how is it? is it a plantain? the name is red daeng hawai?
- saba cardaba
- hom thong ho
- veinte cohol
- hom thong = gros michel
- hok khai sucrier senorita
- lep mue nang ...candle banana ladyfinger
- nam nom
- bangladesh super banana
- sai daeng red inside
- new mue nang


tell me please which are not convenient to have....bad taste, containing seeds or anything else
or some thai varieties which are very sweet and good to suggest me

I'm no expert but musa veinte cohol seems to have a good reputation here..
Which USDA zone are your in? Italy Interactive Plant Hardiness Zone Map (http://www.plantmaps.com/interactive-italy-plant-hardiness-zone-map.php)

Am I right in assuming that you will order from a Thai supplier? ;)

You're very lucky indeed :D In that climate a lot is possible.
Hopefully others who have some plants that are on your list will be able to make further recommendations!
