Orinoco I'd guess. So not a plantain, but a cooking banana that is certainly fine uncooked.

Awesome; I have a few unconfirmed types in my collection this is one of them. It is called Bluggoe here I think, I know bluggoe and silver bluggoe did make it to WA in the past. Not sure on the difference will have to look it up.

It looks a lot like a wild not maintained Orinoco to me too. Silver blogee is very waxy and looks a lot like blue java.

I got my pup from the owner of this patch, apparantly they get at least one big bunch every year usually two. I think its looks are due to its location, its not bad given its in Albany.

Ive labelled mine as Bluggoe for now and informed the person who gave it to me, and they've relabelled theirs . Thanks everyone.
