They are Ensete ventricosum. Definitely not worth $100 if that's what they're asking for a single small potted plant, maybe more like $15-20 is a fair deal. You can usually easily find them at places like Home Depot even.

He states " I sell them at many different stages some very small to medium to a 3 foot (still a baby) size so the price depends on what you want "
Do the larger/adult plant pictures correspond with i.e are they "Ensete ventricosum" are the pups also "Ensete ventricosum" ?

Ensete ventricosum doesn't produce pups in the classic sense, they are normally either grown from seed or from tissue culture. There is a way to force them to make sucker-like plantlets, but few people do this in the US, and it looks and sounds like they are selling seedlings, which is fine. But still, $100 for even a 3ft plant is too much, they grow quickly to that size so you're not really buying a lot of gain there. If I was feeling particularly spendy, I might consider buying a 3ft plant at $50 if thats all that was available, but I'd still prefer to go for a cheaper and smaller plant since they grow so quick anyways.

They have 3-4 foot tall entente maurelii here at my local Walmart for $25. $100 is insane. The maurelii is way better looking to me. Look it up. It's a very nice looking plant. They can get very tall and huge at the base.
