Has anyone grown this plant in a container? How hardy?
I brought some of them with me from Thailand, where they grow 3-4 m tall.
Bananas are very sweet and have a special flavour. Best I've ever eaten.
Also called Thai lady fingers, but not to be confused with Lady finger banana from English speaking countries.

From what I've read the Kluai Leb Mu Nang is a Sucrier type AA banana. Short and round and very sweet. Also called Pisang Mas or Kluai kui. From what I hear it is a broad name and there is 4 or more different similar types grouped into the name.

I just received 3 "chicken egg bananas" from a friend direct from Cambodia. Mine are only a foot tall or so but I can't wait to watch them grow and see how they do. It's a very exciting banana to grow for me and I'm excited to see how fast they fruit. Hopefully they will be somewhat short cycle like veinte cohol which they are very closely related.

They are an AA type so I'm betting they will be very very cold sensitive like most AA types. Under 40-50F they will try to go dormant and easily die to the ground at around 32F.

... Also called Pisang Mas or Kluai kui. ...

In my experience Pisang Mas falters in sustained temperatures below 50F.

This is not Pisang Mas or Kluai kui, those are more round.
Leb Mu Nang is smaller no more than an inch thick and is very flagrant. They are sold at a higher price then others.

I totally agree. AA types are always my first ones to go dormant and hardest ones to overwinter.

We understand that. We also understand that it is a pure tropical AA cultivar. There is no way you can grow it or any other edible banana outdoors year-round in zone 7a. You will need to care for it in a large container and grow it indoors 6 months of the year. If you set up indoor greenhouse conditions with 1200 Watts of 6500 Kelvin fluorescent indoor lighting per banana plant for the indoor period you could expect it to fruit about every 2.5 years.

This banana has grown very good, it started to flower. Yes it's a little bit prone to cold, but flowering very fast.
