Its been years since i have posted here and now I need some ideas from the experts...
This was the second winter I did not wrap my plants(musa basjoo). Last winter they all came back wonderfully, this year was not the winter to not wrap. Crazy weather, long cold winter and still getting snow here in Vancouver BC. I know I have lost these plants the corms are above ground as these are old plants that just have kept multiplying. I cut out the dead ones that had produced fruit the previous yr.as new ones come up.
Now my question is, the large mounds of corms/roots whatever you call it, will need to come out so I can start again I assume and would also look better. Is there an easy way to get these things out? hoping for some suggestions from others that have experience with this.
Thanks so much....
