It is generally considered as a synonym of common AAB Silk. The common cultivar in this subgroup in the US is 'Manzano'.

My manzano are about average cold hardiness. Thry pause growth around 40f. The leaves die at 32f or frost. The pstem dies at around 25f. If buried and mulched the corm underground may survive colder but I'm not sure what temp min. For fruit in my zone it takes about 280-300 days to flower then another 4-5 months to ripen. It's cold hardiness is nothing compared to namwa or Orinoco for my area.

I love growing bananas but removing a 15' manzano. I'll pass. Lol. I have so many planted also. They will either fruit or not fruit depending on the winter we have here. I really dislike manzano anyway compared to other varieties I love the taste of that are much easier to fruit.
