This plant lost two or three leaves so far this winter and no stem damage. It was planted June 2016. Happy to see the sun is inching it's way up in the sky. Today I noticed a new leaf starting to push up the p-stem. It should be showing in the next week. Luckly it's in decent shape for the first winter.
I know you guys love pictures! enjoy

Feb 21 leaf on it's way up! It was dormant for most of January. I definitely won't be needing heating cables .:woohoonaner:

Looks great Matt! Glad to know I am not the only one crazy enough to grow a Basjoo in the greenhouse. Mine is on its 3rd leaf since November.

Congrats Mark! It's gotta really like where it is. I thought ahh I'll try it for fun. I can always use it for pups. originally the corm was planted thinking it was one of my edible ones. I decided to leave it there and see if it would some-what over winter.

My reason is a little different. I planted mine in there on purpose. I was wondering what the fruit tasted like. After reading and reading, and seeing all the different opinions. It's not edible, not worth the effort, too many seeds, tasted good but. I decided if I wanted to know what a Basjoo banana tasted like, I had to grow and fruit my own Basjoo to find out.
