I'm a bit far from there but most of the people I talk to are from your region...

If you head south, make a right turn, I am just down the road about 2500 miles. Stop by sometime.

Surely Matt!.....My friend Mark lives close enough!.......LOL!....This past week I've wondered if I live very close to Matt also. It's been downright cold (not freezing, quite) and there's a frost warning for parts of my county tonight! A few weeks ago one local forecaster nearly wet his pants when he excitedly forecast wind chills then spent a few minutes telling of the perils. No, it didn't happen but I'm still giggling about that. 40 degrees and gusts of 20MPH? Having suffered through some Cleveland winters, I know that's just silly.

There's got to be more of you on here, than this. I'm an honorary Ontarian but that doesn't count. :ha:

i would say we should trade plants.. but i have spider mites

did you grow the avocado from seed?
i started a couple from seed and i would like to graft on a cut(s) of the real deal at some point

Hi asimpson-

Why don't you post over in Member Introductions and tell us a little bit about yourself, so we can give you a proper welcome?

I'm the Ottawa guy with the ice cream banana. I moved last year, so I have been in transition, but I've got a much bigger space for my addiction hobby now. My current plant situation is a basjoo that is currently getting used to its new permanent home planted in ground, a decent-sized dwarf orinoco that may flower this year, and a bunch of smaller varieties. Not to mention the pineapples and 7-foot fruiting papaya.

Looking forward to getting on here more often!:nanadrink:
