Is a very beautiful thing for some.. especially if your in the South, and don't have to use any methods to get stems thru the winter w/o damage from the cold.. My last winter was such and even though I didn't try nearly as hard as I do in previous years I had a bunch of banana's hanging come fall ( of course none I can eat from Raja Puri once again, but 5 bunches).
I did have a SH-3640 bloom and just cut them 2 weeks of ago so last week I chowed down on some very tasty fruit.. What I consider far better than store bought regulars.. Hope some of you other folks had similar experiences..

I agree, the SH 3640 bananas are excellent quality. I have one SH 3640 plant with a bunch filling out now. Hopefully you can continue with your success growing bananas. It is a wonderful hobby.

Nice to hear from you again Abnshrek!....

I harvested my first SH-3640 banana bunch on October 5, 2016. Looks like it could stayed on the plant a little longer but did not want to take a chance with Hurricane Matthew that was coming in our way!...Turnout a pretty good size SH-3640 banana bunch!...The SH-3640 banana fingers are in comparison to a plantain size fingers!....They are big!.....For me the SH-3640 variety is a keeper!... I love them!....No doubts the SH-3640 is one of the best from the FHIA family line!.....:bananarow:

Did I say El' Nino is a beautiful thing.. well I said it again.. I lost a couple manzano stem's but I have 2 very nice 3640's for this season. I'm sure I'll get some.. I'm getting rid of Raja Puri from any prime spot.. had 6 flowers but they always bloom late.. I don't know maybe we'll see.. Giving them a year saves me from digging them out.. lol

I have 2 spots to add D Namwah to, If they can survive in S. Ark they can thrive in LA that's all I have to say.. maybe not.

Dang Nice Banana's.. :^)
