I'm thinking a park in Melbourne would be more central than Titusville. (If we put it off long enough so I can get my back yard done--like February and not too many peeps, it could be here at the hovel though parking is somewhat limited--I have a big front yard but not that big so we might have to do some ferrying of folks.)

I used to be one of the organizers of the annual Mid Atlantic Garden Web swap meets. Everyone brought a dish/drinks/plates etc. and plants to trade. It always rained and the cops always showed up. Why they thought 60 giggling peeps with dirty fingernails carrying pots (not pot) were an issue I don't know but it happened in both MD and VA. Good times!

I know there are a few members who visit FL sometimes; if a get together happens, I'd love to schedule it around their trips if possible.

Anyone interested?

Hey, I was in Melbourne today at a park! Thanks to sputinc7 I have 4 pups from Nick. No Wendy's there but lots of Wood Storks. They look about as edible as Canadian Geese to me but what do I know?

Lost cat? My eye. Late father used to sing a little ditty about some guy encountering a skunk and thinking it was a cat--pretty cat. (New Englanders have a very warped sense of humor--he also sang about a family sharing a toothbrush.)

Food is not out at night any longer so your rodent is out of luck at my place! Um, what is it?

I thought possum but didn't want to say it "aloud". I had one that patrolled my yard in MD and 1 that got "offed" in OH after it killed some of my chickens. But I never got up close and personal with either of them.

I sprayed em every day with the hose to keep the roots fresh so they should take off pretty quick... Baby them. :D I hope you enjoy the Paggi as much as I do.
I live less than 10 minutes west of that Wendy's, Cinn...

I mentioned a meet and food then possums came up. Well, ick, just plain out right ick.

Getting back on track...meet or not? Me, I'm not scary I don't think. I'd bring a superb green lentil salad and, if I'm feeling froggy, a couple of loaves of killer one rise Tuscan bread. Heck, I'd even put a couple of bucks towards someone willing to grill meat for the group. And plants do not have to be traded--just a nice potluck with peeps who share a magnificent obsession is sufficient IMO.

I'm interested. But the trip is a little long (500 miles) and my 14 ducks don't like me being away from home overnight. ... They want to eat ... Any way I might be able to work it out.

Make sure you pick a park that has lots of Pokemon or a few poky stops. Hahaha

I was kind of hoping that those who live in the Melbourne area would pick the park if we put this together. Here I could check to see about requirements at Sand Point (state) and I could inquire about facilities/rules at Playalinda (Federal but not lot 13). I don't know if we have poky stops in my area.:ha:

Playalinda is a nude beach.
Trust me and my Ex-wife, ain't NO body wants to see that.

Peeled bananas are not acceptable at lots other than 13; there can be, from what I've been told, spillage into 12 and 11. When my brother visited last February, we visited lot 4.

I hope he still has some of those Paggi left. We PM'd when he first posted but I never got final details. I was excited to finally saw them available somewhere.

LoL, I have never been there at all. So I am not even sure about lot numbers or how big they are. I thought it was all nude or nothing.

Public nudity is against the law in Brevard County (as it should be according to what I've heard of the beach "bods" gathering at section 13) but, since this is Federal land, both agencies "wink" and let it happen long as the deviancy remains in lots numbered above 10. My backyard is very, very private...no waves but lots of sun and sand... ;)

So far, Paggi are my favorite bananas, by a wide margin. They seem somewhat rare. I hope to change that. He is out of town for days or a week or more at a time, be patient. He still had a few Paggi pups left when I was there...

If I was in the area this would be a great place to meet.
And spend at least 2- 4 hours.

A very nice fall sale will be going on.

Great places, Mike. But I was hoping we could make this happen near my neck of the woods in probably a less special place when you're FL. If you insist on meeting folks at your especial Wendy's, that's fine. If only your sweetie, you and I get to hang, that's fine. I haven't had a frosty ages; I'm up for one.

There are so many members on the Space coast, Treasure coast and I-95 that something is bound to happen.

If not it( this thread) will bring a number of members together for the banana, fruit growing/gardening culture through chats, pm's, trades and sales.

Frostys are awesome.........brainfreeze:woohoonaner:
