Hello everyone! I currently have over banana plant of what variety I don't know. I drove to KC and picked it up from a friend. I've wanted one for years but never actually made it a point to get one until now.
I feel the need for more. I think in the end I want five total. I have no clue what I have now and joined in hopes that I could get help identifying it and learn more about their care and hopefully avoid making mistakes with its care.
I've called around today here local to see if a nursery had any for sale and so far no luck other than one who's sending me pictures.
Looking forward to seeing yours and learning.

I'll post some pictures just as soon as I figure out how. I'm guessing linking from photobucket which is undergoing maintenance.

I just posted some under members pics. I hope I'm doing this correctly.
I just posted some under members pics. I hope I'm doing this correctly. You did great! To "bring" them to the board from your gallery, click on your picture to open it, copy the 1st line of code directly beneath it (there are 3) and paste the link in your message. I'd do it for you but you mastered uploading which is the boondoggle for most new members so I'll let you finish on your own. Post them here or in the ID section--your choice.
Welcome again.

Ok. Thank you. :) I had more pictures of the ones I saw today but for some reason they wouldn't load. I'll add the pics of mine in my original message.

I'll check. I'm not sure how that all works as I didn't do anything different with my phone while taking them that I know of. I'll try and resize them somehow. I'm using a phone. :)
I use a phone also. Picture sizes on mine range from 600 or so to over 1.5 megs without me changing any settings. I suspect it's lighting and subject matter but I don't know. I do know I have to resize some for here and at another forum where I post.
I'm sure there are other fancier options but you can quickly resize in Paint. If I want to adjust more I use a free program called paint.net that you can download.

I think I found an app for resizing. Thank you for the suggestion. I think that will work! ;)

Hi Dave-
Welcome aboard the Banana Express. :nanerwaveytrain:
If you follow the posting instructions and they won't load, your pics are too big. You can open in Paint and resize there. Reduce to 33% and see how they look. They should be fine.

Thank you. I've been enjoying my two little plants. I'm looking forward to getting a few more. The two I have are indoors until spring and growing leaves.
