And when they run out, I have a medium dwarf red for $15 to cover shipping. I just want it to go to a good home. I ended up with it by mistake. It is about 3-4 ft tall now.

I got 5 corms from JD. They arrived today all in one medium Priority Box about 2:30pm. They were planted into my Banana row within the hour. ... May be we can see a few new leaves before a freeze.

Got the large and small corms today. The large went into the ground and will hopefully wake up in the next few days. The small went into a pot to see what it will do.

JD - yeah, I see I didn't use the big 'A' after the big 'L' :ha:
Just trying to clear up the geography confusion.
Here's a blurb from the experts at

Los Angeles should appear as LA, but this can create confusion between the city and the state of Louisiana.

Still no mention of 'Lower Alabama'

I checked my email as you left a email saying you would be shipping out the group we agreed on yesterday as you said you just got through digging them up and showed me photos of them. I haven't heard anything from you this morning and its going on about 3 pm there where you are. Please send the tracking number as you agreed to ship and give me that number this morning. I sent payment to you via paypal as agreed and you have been paid. I am not sure you sent an email but if not please do so again and also include a message here via PM . That way I know that I am not having email issues. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you. Anxious to get my corms and plants. Michael

Just joined the group and am learning about bananas. I live about 10 miles north of I-10 in Alabama. I travel 10 to Houston and would be interested in buying a variety of plants from you. I'm zone 8, we are about 50 north of the Gulf, so temperatures are 5 to 10 degrees cooler than on the coast.

My main interest is fruiting bananas. I live on a farm and have plenty of room for plants. Please let me know what you have and give me your recommendation please.

Thanks, Larry

Larry - How close to Mobile are you? There are several nana heads along the I-10 corridor that might have extra corms - zone 8 limits ability to get fruit but with winters like the last 2 anything is possible. I'm in Biloxi zone 9 about 3 miles N of I-10. Namwah, Orinoco, CaliGold and Not(Goldfinger) fruit and can survive bad winters in ground.
