Hello all, I live in central North Carolina, zone 7a, and have a dwarf Cavendish banana plant in a container outside. It was a pup from a larger one inside, and I repotted it and moved it outside two weeks ago.
It recently developed chalky white patches on the leaves. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I've uploaded two photos.... Thank you!

Welcome to bananas.org, Sabine-Farm (German?).
Looks like some sun damage to me. If it is in full sun, move the pot in a partially shaded area.

I respectfully disagree. Those spots look to me like something got on the leaves such as fertilizer, too strong insecticide, etc. The leaves look mature.
Just my uneducated opinion.

Hello, fellow Tarheeler-
Welcome aboard the Banana Express. :nanerwaveytrain:
I'm in CLT. What area of the state are you in? Our member, DRobbins is probably up your way. You might want to add your location to your info, so that others can help you better with location-specific problems.
I'm no expert on bananas, but Al's diagnosis coincides with what I am an expert on: dawn redwoods. It looks like something was splashed on the leaves and caused a chemical burn. Whatever it is, is it getting worse or holding as is?
