I have just received a vile of avid for treating some of my plants for spider mites, however, the instructions are in terms of acreage and not for individual Plants. My question is what is the correct dosage to be used for individual plants in regard to a mix in 1 gallon of water.
Thanks very much.

Ok Richard, in terms for my use (it states 4oz per 100 gallons), how much avid do I use per gallon. The instructions also state to use sufficient water when mixed with avid, which directly tells me nothing. Thanks

convert (4/100) fluid ounces to teaspoons (https://www.google.com/search?q=convert+(4%2F100)+fluid+ounces+to+teaspoons)
Answer: 0.24 teaspoons.
The statement "use sufficient water" only applies to the "per acre" dosage; i.e., use enough water to cover the acreage. For your use, 1/4 tsp per gallon will be sufficient.
If you're not satisfied with Avid EC, I recommend you try Ortho "Fruit Tree Spray" (http://www.ortho.com/smg/goprod/ortho-tree-shrub-fruit-tree-spray/prod11350003) which contains Pyrethrin, Piperonyl Butoxide, and Neem Oil.
- can be used on a broad range of plants
- very effective
- labeled for home owners, no pesticide applicator's license or knowledge required

I know the question has been answered but here is some good background information.
Here is a link which will help you understand avids use better, it is pretty popular.:)
Many dose rates for products can be found on cannibis forums.
The information is usually very accurate because the folks have a lot invested in their plants/crop......weed sells for 3000-5000$ a pound while bananas are .59 cents a pound at Publix...

Thanks very much, that is a very helpful link. I do have an outbreak of spider mites on my plumeria and desert rose, however, they have had little affect on my bananas.
Again, my thanks.

These pests usually thrive in a dry climate. During the dry times of the year here it helps to keep some of these areas watered. I understand some of you are having weather issues out in the mainland so this may not work.
Seems odd to me... but our nanners sell for $1-2 dollars a pound here.
