I notice that several of mine are much skinnier compared to years past, even the fruits themselves are smaller. Is it a fertilizer issue? They do get plenty of water.
Thanks

What do you fertilize with? How much and how often?

Random application of tropical tree fertilizer and osmocote plus. Occasional steer manure. Maybe I need to stick to a regular schedule. Thanks

I use 16-8-24 fertilizer once a month during growing season.
Lots of compost, horse and chicken manure is used more randomly.
P-stems of (over)crowded mats are usually a bit on the smaller side. Water suckers also have a tendency of having smaller, thinner p-stems.
Having said that, I have noticed, by using the above mentioned fertilizer, at least 95% of all my new pups are sword pups and have bigger p-stems later on in life.

Pics would help. Do you grow in pots?
