This pup grown plant is shorter than would be, since we chopped it back at propagation.
Please update your location in your profile. It might help...
Height, diameter, time to fruit, where you got it?
The more you write, the easier it will be.

I'll update my location, but I don't have much info on the tree. What other photos would help ID? Leaf canal shape? It will be 15 ft tall probably but I don't recal the mother. Thanks

Guessing this may be a Goldfinger! Mm I like the sound of that!
Not sure yet... Hesitating. Looks great though.
I think 15' is too tall for a Goldfinger plant. Where are you measuring 15' from? Its a beautiful plant whatever it is. Congratulations :goteam::goteam:
If you want a Positive ID don't cut the bud off. :nanadrink:

I don't know how big it's gonna get, this was a pup chopped short, and it's probably only 7ft tall. I haven't cut the bud off and try to take as many different photos. I will look through and see what other photos of it are around.

Does not look like Goldfinger, the flowers on ours are white, not pink...

Leaving the bud on will eventually tell us what?

Gosh, I hope so, 15' is too tall for me especially since I just got one.

I will upload photo soon. It is not 15' but I thought it could have been a tall variety, but only 8-10' tops.

Update from today, new photos. Still green! Hope they ripen soon, the one I took early and let ripen was great. White flesh, much better taste than cavendish..

If I had to guess, I'd say Goldfinger. Hard to see the male bud shape with the dried bracts still adhering. Pull them off and see if it is shaped like a top, like this one...

I've noticed that male flower color seems to vary a bit with temperature/climate, so I woundn't put too much stock in that if it is in the ballpark. Was the one you ate slightly tart -- in a good way? That'd be more support for Goldfinger.

I will take a stab at it and guess, Sweetheart...? I am basing that off the best pics of the flower I could find as well as the look of the fruit. Don't take my word as gospel on this, it's a guess. If I had grown a Sweetheart before I could be sure. It could easily be one of several in the FHIA line...17,21,23...

Not likely Sweetheart. It generally has no dark splotches on the leaf sheaths, which this one has. Sweetheart is strikingly green to me.
I agree that it could be another of the FHIA ones, though.
