I fear my nanas have some illness. Please help figure out how bad.
My little grove has several dozen trees. Lately they have been getting sick and folding over. The leaves turn yellow, trunks seem to turn black and rot and then they tip over and die.

Those pics aren't working. All I see are tiny thumbnails. The problem sounds serious, though. The more details the better. What do you fertilize with? How often? Have you done anything different lately? Made any enemies lately? (roundup?) You are in the muck down there, are they flooded?

Found the link, sorry.

Also, what varieties are dying? I know Panama disease (race 1) is in south FL.

Although much of my yard has been mucked, where these guys are growing has not.
No sign of flooding,
I have two rows, seems to have started on the row farther from the canal.
I cut out the first ones I noticed, I thought they got hit by lightning. It comes on fast. I am getting new growth from the ones I cut and they seem quite healthy. Weird.
I do not know the variety. They were here when I bought the house. I transplanted them to the back and made a border so I have a lot more. Very small (4 to 6 inches) Thin skin. very short timeline from yellow to mush. Very sweet.

Hi Danny Lobster, I'm not sure what is wrong with your banana plants, but I can help you with posting the pictures. Once you get the photos into your gallery its easy you just copy and paste.
