I bought this plant from Florida Hill last year. I ordered a 1000 finger and this is it in bloom. I am beginning to wonder if that is the type of plant that I actually ordered. Will take any help that I can get. I have never had this kind so I don't know what the bloom and bananas are supposed to look like.

The fingers start out very long then they get really short.

These are very short. These bananas are maybe an inch and a half long. Can you help identify this banana plant?

It's true to type, the first few hands on this cultivar will be long slender fingers which do not develop, followed by a variable and sometimes endless amount of tiny 1-2" fruit. Depending on its growth the conditions, the bunch may stop making fruit at some point, but sometimes it can go for so long it will nearly touch the ground and the first fruits will be starting to ripen as the newest ones are forming, however, I typically see them stop at 3-4ft, looks like yours has already stopped, it may start up again but unlikely.
Hi Gabe, is Hammer's plant (first two pictures) the same as my plant?
Hammer, I got my plant from Florida Hill too.

This bloom has just started to unfold and show bananas yesterday. The pictures that I posted are from today and this is only the second day that it has been showing any bananas, so the pictures are of only the first two hands showing. They are short skinny bananas.

Sorry, I got confused as I'm viewing this on a phone screen and can't always see who's posting easily. Lau, yours is definitely '1000 Fingers'. Shannon, yours also appears to be '1000 Fingers', but post a few more photos as the bunch develops to be sure.
