Very nice looking plants. I noticed that they are planted next to the house and fence. I'm assuming that they do better when planted next to some sort of barrier. Do you still have to protect them during winter or do they just fend for themselves? I'm in Katy, TX but will plant some in Columbus, TX. Thanks, Lee

They are on the fence line to cover the perimeter of the yard. The blue one was planted by the house for some winter protection. I don't do any real winter protection aside from mulch. If it's a new banana I may have a pup or tow in pots just in case. In the spring time I top the bananas if they took frost damage.
If you need any bananas I'd be more than happy to share.

Hey, Tristan! Just noticed this was your post. Are any of these plants you got from me? Hope you are doing well!

Congratulations. What an abundance of fruits you have there. Excellent job on getting the Blue Java to fruit within a year.
Your latest "Ice Cream" photo though is not an Ice Cream banana. Is that the plant you have purchased through ebay? It could well be a Namwah.

We are doing great. I believe all the plants I got from you were ornamentals.
