I live in northern Ohio. took plant from winter storage in 3rd week of may and planted in same spot as last year. grew to almost twelve foot tall last summer. lots of big leaves. it is now July 7th and the leaves come out and seem to get jammed and shred. seems like they are getting stuck. it produced a couple of suckers last year. they were potted in the house in the wood burner room where it was usually a constant temp of around 78 degrees. also sitting in front of patio doors where they received light during the day. they each sprouted two leaves during the winter. they were planted same time as the mother plant. a few days after being planted they lost their leaves and are struggling. growing slowly. it has been hot here this summer so far. watering 3 to 4 times a week. have tried miracle grow at least a half a dozen times since June. tried a little Epsom salt this week also. I need help....I miss my beautiful banana tree from last year. I don't understand....I'm sad....:0491:
