I found this site while researching info on how to grow a "tropical" looking garden in Salem, VA (Zone 7). I have been searching for cold hardy plants online with Ebay and gardening sites and have found great info from many sites.

I'm hoping to connect with others who are able to garden outside their zone. The tropical area I put in has some bananas, cannas, palms, trumpet flowers.....all small since it's new and the season is just beginning.

Any info and resources you may share are greatly appreciated. I've gone thru the photos and some are wonderful.

Welcome aboard! I grow tropicals in their native climate, and if you need any tips on how they grow in the wild, ask away!
