I am an avid gardening book collector. Not the coffee table variety, but books with in-depth information.
Can someone recommend such a book to me for growing and caring for bananas (in containers)
Thx
Gailey
When you get an answer to this could you please mail me Gailey

I'm not sure that there are many publications specifically on growing container bananas; Bioversity (http://www.bioversityinternational.org/scientific_information/plants_and_animals/banana/) has some excellent publications, but they deal more with in-ground plants.
I'd say your best bet would be to subscribe to Bananas Quarterly (http://www.bananasmagazine.com), which normally has articles on container growing as well as banana culture in general. (Insert shameless BQ promotion here...)

Bananas.org member inkcube (Bananas.org - View Profile: inkcube (http://www.bananas.org/member-inkcube.html)) is completing a book, I believe it will be published this coming spring?

Member Basjoofriend is also working on the English translation of his banana book in German. But I have to say your best bet is to subscribe to Bananas Quarterly, as Beth said above.
Thanks for the info lorax

It's not about bananas, but I am working on one for Paladin Press about traditional Native American herbalogy. It covers 200+ medicinal plants and their uses.
