My name is Betty and I am from central Mississippi. I have several banana trees and wish I could remember what kind they are. One is fast growing, green with a bit of maroon on the back of the leaves and a huge trunk for a 2 year old tree. No shoots yet. Another has done well, but not as vigorous and two others that are "there". I'd like more if I could get the 2 kinds that are vigorous.

We had a tornado here April 4, and lost a lot of very large trees - oaks, Bradford Pears, pines, so if I could get some fast growing bananas started, maybe I could save my shade plants that are getting sunburned.

Thanks,
Betty
