Planted two musa basjoo's last week Wednesday. They have been progressively looking "crispier" on the leaves, but they are not wilting. Highs have been in the 50s/60s/70s and lows have been in the 40s. Watered them once after I planted them. Here are some pictures:

I'm wondering if its just a little sunburn damage, and they'll outgrow it quickly once it gets hot here. I had 6 more basjoo's come in today, but I'm not planting them until that nasty forecasted cold snap leaves next week. I don't want to cover 6 more than I have to. I'm going to keep those in my living room until then.

It got down to 37.8F last night with 50 mph wind gusts. The sunburned nana leaves got shredded and broken (damnit). Probably because they were weak. If the main stem is unharmed, will they resume growth when it gets warm enough outside? Looks like a long cold week of highs in the 40s/50s and lows in the 30s. They'll be getting covered every night.

Pictures from today. They endured a thunderstorm with 50 mph winds last Friday then it got near 32F for three nights this week (I covered them). Wondering if they are gone or just getting ready to start leafing out like nuts when the warm weather comes back.

I think I'll wait until the soil warms a bit in my zone 5 before I plant mine out. Basjoos are not so hardy when they're so small. Especially when the soil is cold.

Mine did the same. Just a lil shock. They should be fine in a few weeks.

Yep, they're sunburned. Usually if you rush them out without hardening them off they'll do that, but usually they come out of it. Sometimes even if you do harden them off they'll sunburn some. Greenhouse/indoor leaves aren't as tough or thick as outdoor leaves.
