Hi,
Since M. basjoo should have a large native areal in milder winter regions in China (maybe overlapping with Trachy distribution), the variability should be also much greater than Japanese (non-native) sources.
Here is one example- real Taiji Sword and M. basjoo behind the Master!
I also saw Trachy on other video.

I dont know were it is but I think it should be zone 8 or so there??
do you know in wich city that video is madE?

Largely, Wudang Mountain is between Wuhan and Xian, z8-9 limits. They should grow well in zone 8, because I know about them in Nanjing and Shanghai. One of the Wuhan min. temp. was -18C (0F), but such events are rare.
