Can anyone tell me something about Musa laterina?
Is anyone growing it? Can I overwinter it cold (5 deg C)?
Kind regards,
Remko.

It didn't seem cold hardy in a unheated greenhouse in zone 8, got down to about 20F that year.

I think you mean, Musa laterita. Its very easy to grow as a house plant, but Ive never tried storing it.

So could I compare it to Musa velutina and ornata for that matter?
I found some info from David's site: Musa laterita (http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~drc/mlaterita.htm)

But the only overwintering I have is an unheated greenhouse...

Probaby less hardy than those two you mentioned, but mine wasn't pupping yet so, it wasn't the most mature plant, and in a small pot.

Its Musa Laterita

I've got loads of corms for sale see classifieds or i've also got them on ebay
Unusual as they look much more like rhizomes than corms but hey.
check out seller 'hardybananaplants' or item number 150231120287

PM me if you want to bypass ebay and save me some selling costs

thanks

OK I just bought one but I don't know anything about it. I thought it can fruit small bananas like ninos. But I want it no matter.
