should be changed to read "Musa itinerans var. itinerans." After the descriptions came out last month, mine is not the biggun. In fact, it probably doesn't exist yet outside of China. If you started them from seed from TianZi Biodiversity Research & Development Centre, China, Thailand (http://www.natureproducts.net) as Musa sp. Nov, then it is var. itinerans. Anyways, just thought I should clarify in this post, because I can't seem to edit the titles of my original posts.

That's disappointing. I really would like to grow that banana. You said there's probably no one who has one outside of China. There has to be a commercial grower on this board that has an valid import license. Come on people. Make it happen. I've emailed Josef at TianZi before. He'd be willing to do this.

Kev, do you have one? Did you get it from Tian Zi, if so? I have an import permit, but have no idea where to order one, except from them. Sure would be nice to try it here, considering the cold-hardiness of the other Musa itinerans I have from them. A monster!

I'm in email contact with Josef at TianZi. Apparently, they're willing to ship 100 corms of Musa itinerans var. xishuangbannaensis‏. If we could organize a group buy and make it worth someone's while to manage it, we could be real happy campers. I'll get pricing and basic shipping information next. Interested parties??

51st, would be real interested if you could throw us a little more information. You're being a bit vague :)

Josef and Minguo don't return my emails anymore, lol. I have kept at them about selling seeds once again, and thought I had Josef going for awhile. Then I never heard from him again! Oh well. Had to try.

I did notice on their website that they are going to be "coming soon" to their partners in the US and Europe (Worldwide Orchids in Apopka FL in the USA). So far, WW Orchids has not returned my email. I seem to have that effect on people for whatever reason! :2216:

I have a plant import permit, with Thailand and China listed on it as two of the countries to import from. I'd be up to getting a few corms for sure! PM me to discuss please...

Frank, unless things have changed, you can edit the title of your thread by going into edit and advanced or something like that. However, I did learn a while back that I could not delete a thread I started but I think maybe it was because it was a poll.
