The National Plant Germplasm System is a cooperative effort by public (State and Federal) and private organizations to preserve the genetic diversity of plants.

To obtain lists of plants by repository site, region, etc. visit this page:

Statistics on NPGS/GRIN collections (http://www.ars-grin.gov/npgs/stats/)

To find information on a specific plant, where it is held, and order plant material for propagation research, visit this page:

Taxonomy Query for GRIN Species Records (http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxgenform.pl?language=en)
