At "the Flower Fields" at that little nursery that's in front of it in Carlsbad, CA, I cried a little inside since I drive my gas saving Lancer and not a F150, for shoved in the back corner hidden behind the citrus were banana plants, several varieties... that were regularly 29.99, now half off, they are overgrown but they look healthy, each have pups, there they had Dwarf Brazilian, Gran Nain and several other varieties, at about 7-11ft tall apiece, beautiful flags, only reason why I can see them that discounted... is that they were cramped *sigh* so I thought as my husband dragged me away that someone that lives around here would be interested... At least I feel a little better about it putting on here so someone can take advantage of THAT awesome find that I had to leave behind... now if you'll excuse me... I'm gonna go cry some more.... alone

Ahava,
My deepest sympathy. Last summer I had to walk away from a sikkimensis, 5 feet tall. It was the first time I'd seen one. I was in my Chevy, not my SUV. It was the most gorgeous banana I had ever seen.

I'm really confused! Your map "pin" is located north of Cheyenne WY, your profile says Woodlake CA, and you are talking about The Flower Fields which is next to Legoland -- a mere 15 miles NW of my home and with lights visible at night from my backyard.

I never messed with that map to be honest with you.... I clicked into it once and clicked out with a shrug, filing away in my mind that I'd do that later, but never did, who knows why it decided to pin me in Wyoming *shrug*. I do live in Woodlake, Ca, 4 hours north of L.A. near the Visalia area. I took 4 days off to go down and visit the parents and I went to see the Flower Fields for fun, and I saw that and so I posted my find. Beautiful area Richard, the weather was gorgeous... I'm jealous. My dad might take his F150 and pick something up for me but you know how that goes. *smiles* Well anyhow maybe I should look at that map and try and fix it.
(I checked up on the map and it actually has me located in the right place on my mapsetup, the only person I see in Wyoming is rick...) >.<

I wish that I knew of that nursery down there because I was just there on Saturday visiting Legoland with my son and had my Silverado truck with me.I would have picked up a few more banana's,and ad some new one's to plant in my yard, and also some citrus trees.
